In order to study the effects of track reconstruction on the
various track parameters,
ten thousand single charged pion events were generated isotropically over
the solid angle for each of several momenta.
The performances versus momentum for CLEO II and CLEO III are
shown in Figs. 
, , and
for momentum resolution, resolution, and
resolution,
respectively.
These Monte Carlo results reproduce those obtained in CLEO II data
and confirm what was indicated in Table
, namely that the
new detector is comparable to CLEO II everywhere except at low momentum
where it is noticeably better, primarily since there is less material in
the tracking path.
